About Dr. Chinichian

Dr. Shideh Chinichian, known by her patients as “Dr. C,” is a board-certified family medicine physician with over a decade of clinical experience and advanced training in functional and integrative medicine. She specializes in precision health optimization and longevity-focused care for individuals seeking a thoughtful, data-driven approach to long-term health, performance, and resilience.

Her clinical work is grounded in longitudinal thinking, individualized physiology, and careful clinical judgment. She helps patients navigate complex health information, identify what truly matters, and develop sustainable strategies that support healthspan over time—rather than relying on episodic visits or one-size-fits-all protocols.

Dr. Chinichian earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (Medical College of Virginia) and completed her residency training with Dignity Health. She spent many years practicing in traditional, insurance-based clinical settings, caring for patients across a wide range of clinical complexity. This extended real-world experience refined her diagnostic reasoning and decision-making, while also revealing the limitations of traditional care models constrained by time, short-term focus, and fragmentation.

Through her own personal health journey and lived clinical experience, Dr. Chinichian developed a deeper appreciation for whole-person, root-cause–informed care and the importance of individualized, context-aware clinical guidance. That experience reshaped how she views medicine—not as episodic intervention, but as an ongoing, personalized process that evolves alongside a patient’s biology, goals, and life circumstances.

TrendyMD was created as an intentional extension of this philosophy: a physician-led practice designed to provide clarity, continuity, and personalized strategy over time for individuals who want to be proactive about their health and wellness.

Care Philosophy

Dr. Chinichian’s care philosophy emphasizes precision, continuity, and thoughtful interpretation over time.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, she approaches health through a longitudinal lens—integrating clinical data, physiology, environment, and lived context to inform medical decision-making. Care is guided by careful listening, scientific evidence, and clinical judgment, with the goal of supporting long-term resilience, performance, and healthy aging.

This approach prioritizes personalization over protocols, clarity over volume, and partnership over transactions. Recommendations are refined as health data, goals, and life circumstances evolve, allowing care to remain relevant and responsive over time.

Care Philosophy

The Practice Model

Care at TrendyMD is delivered through a structured, physician-led model designed to support depth, continuity, and intentional decision-making.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, this model emphasizes understanding the underlying drivers of health through thoughtful data interpretation, longitudinal pattern recognition, and individualized context—including physiology, genetics, environment, stressors, and lived experience.

Care is intentionally designed to avoid one-size-fits-all solutions. Decisions are guided by clinical judgment and science-informed tools, with recommendations refined over time as health data, priorities, and life circumstances evolve.

This approach allows for clarity, personalization, and true partnership, supporting sustainable outcomes through care that listens, investigates, and adapts with intention.
